Illusions of love

When I was a young girl, I realized that love was different for everyone just like the truth and loyalty. Love seems to be transactional for so many of us because we were taught b example that love can only be given when you please, comply or compromise with others. In my experience love was shared and proclaimed when the interaction between individuals looked right and felt right for the cultural norms. If any individual strayed too far from the cultural norms and acceptable behaviors and trends the love was withheld, and the individual was targeted to physical or emotional pain. Going forward we should try to be less transactional with LOVE and more freely giving. This does not imply that you allow others to mistreat you or disturb your peace, but LOVE should be given not earned. LOVE should never be withheld but you should change your access for those who decided that you can be their target for hurt and disrespect. WE DO NOT OWE OTHERS OURSELVES, but we do owe LIFE LOVE.
